QA / Test Engineer

Job Description

The QA / Test Engineer at Fluxys Belgium ensures that software applications and digital solutions meet defined functional, technical, security, and quality requirements. The role develops and executes testing strategies throughout the software development lifecycle, covering functional and non-functional requirements. The engineer works closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and users to identify defects and improve overall application quality. The position also supports test automation and continuous improvement of testing processes and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and testing strategies based on requirements.
Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to investigate and resolve defects.
Perform automated testing using appropriate testing frameworks and tools.
Validate application functionality, performance, usability, reliability, and compatibility.
Maintain test documentation, test data, execution results, and quality reports.
Participate in requirements and design reviews to identify potential quality issues early.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines where appropriate.
Continuously improve QA processes, testing standards, and defect-prevention practices.
