Software Engineer

Job Description

The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for Capgemini Nederland’s clients.
The role involves translating business and technical requirements into reliable and scalable software solutions.
The engineer will collaborate with developers, architects, business analysts, and project teams throughout the development lifecycle.
The position requires strong programming skills, problem-solving ability, and an understanding of modern software development practices.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-quality software applications based on functional and technical requirements.
Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Participate in application design, architecture, development, and implementation activities.
Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and code optimization.
Collaborate with business analysts and technical teams to understand project requirements.
Participate in code reviews and follow established coding and development standards.
Integrate applications with APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and third-party systems.
Identify and resolve software defects and production issues.
Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Maintain technical documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
