Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting production machinery and industrial equipment. The role is essential for ensuring equipment availability, reliability, and safe operation across manufacturing facilities. The technician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns. The position will work closely with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve machine performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment faults.
Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns and production stoppages.
Conduct regular equipment inspections and condition checks.
Replace defective components, parts, bearings, motors, and other equipment items.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation.
Follow preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
Ensure maintenance activities comply with workplace safety requirements.
Coordinate with engineers and production teams to resolve recurring equipment problems.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Maintain proper tools, spare parts, and maintenance equipment.
