Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems, equipment, and components used in Bühler’s industrial processing and manufacturing solutions. The role involves applying engineering principles to develop reliable, efficient, and cost-effective equipment. The engineer will work closely with R&D, production, quality, and project teams throughout the product lifecycle. The position also requires technical problem-solving, design validation, documentation, and continuous improvement of mechanical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and equipment.
Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Perform mechanical calculations, simulations, and design evaluations.
Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with R&D, production, quality, and project engineering teams.
Review prototypes and support testing and design validation activities.
Investigate mechanical failures and implement corrective solutions.
Improve equipment performance, reliability, safety, and manufacturability.
Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of equipment.
Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards and safety requirements.
