Supply Chain Planner
Job Description
The Supply Chain Planner manages material and production planning to ensure that Barco products can be manufactured and delivered according to business requirements. The role coordinates demand forecasts, inventory levels, supplier availability, and production capacity. The planner works closely with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, sales, and product teams to balance supply and demand. The position requires strong analytical skills and proactive management of potential shortages, excess inventory, and supply chain risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain supply and production plans based on demand requirements.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure availability of critical materials.
Analyze forecasts, orders, lead times, and supply constraints.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding material availability and delivery schedules.
Identify potential shortages, excess inventory, and supply chain risks.
Work with manufacturing teams to align production capacity with demand.
Maintain planning parameters and master data within supply chain systems.
Track supplier performance and escalate delivery risks when necessary.
Support new product introductions and product lifecycle changes.
Prepare planning reports and recommend actions to improve supply chain performance.
