Job Description

The Petroleum Engineer is responsible for supporting the technical evaluation, development and optimization of oil and gas assets. The role applies petroleum engineering principles to improve well and field performance, maximize hydrocarbon recovery and support safe, economically viable operations. The engineer works closely with geologists, reservoir engineers, production teams and drilling specialists. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of production and well-performance technologies are essential.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate well and field performance using production and reservoir data.
Develop production optimization strategies for oil and gas wells.
Analyze well inflow, pressure and artificial-lift performance.
Support reservoir management and field-development planning.
Conduct well-performance forecasting and production modelling.
Identify opportunities to improve hydrocarbon recovery and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with geoscience, drilling and production teams on integrated projects.
Prepare technical reports, production forecasts and engineering recommendations.
Monitor well integrity and identify potential production constraints.
Support technical studies, economic evaluations and asset-management decisions.
