Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining production machinery, equipment, tools, and facility systems in safe and reliable operating condition. The role performs preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce equipment failures and production interruptions. The technician diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and equipment-related problems and supports timely repairs. The position works closely with production and engineering teams to maintain equipment availability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on production equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment faults.
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production emergencies.
Inspect machinery to identify potential failures and maintenance requirements.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment service documentation.
Replace worn, damaged, or defective components and parts.
Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
Follow workplace safety procedures and maintenance standards.
Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance with minimal operational disruption.
Suggest equipment improvements and preventive measures to reduce recurring breakdowns.
