Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

The Cybersecurity Specialist will protect Kapsch TrafficCom’s applications, infrastructure, networks, and data against cyber threats.
The role will monitor security events, investigate incidents, identify vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate security controls.
The specialist will collaborate with IT, cloud, software, and engineering teams to integrate security throughout technology environments.
The position requires knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor systems and security platforms for potential cybersecurity threats.
Investigate security incidents and coordinate appropriate response activities.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities.
Implement and maintain security controls across IT and cloud environments.
Analyze security logs, alerts, and threat intelligence information.
Support penetration testing and security assessment activities.
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on secure system design.
Support security audits, compliance assessments, and risk-management activities.
Promote cybersecurity awareness and secure technology practices across teams.
