Plant / Operations Manager

Job Description

The Plant / Operations Manager oversees the overall manufacturing and operational performance of an aerospace production facility. The role is responsible for achieving production, quality, cost, delivery, and safety objectives. The manager leads cross-functional teams and ensures efficient coordination between production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions. The position also drives operational excellence, continuous improvement, and compliance with Airbus policies and aerospace requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily plant operations and ensure production targets are achieved.
Lead production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and operations teams.
Monitor productivity, capacity, costs, quality, and on-time delivery performance.
Develop and implement operational improvement and efficiency initiatives.
Ensure compliance with aerospace quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Manage production resources, workforce planning, equipment, and facility capacity.
Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Review operational KPIs and prepare performance reports for senior management.
Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous-improvement programs across the facility.
Develop team capabilities through training, performance management, and leadership.
