Process Engineer
Job Description
The Process Engineer will develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes used to produce Dyson products and components.
The role focuses on improving production efficiency, process capability, product quality, safety, and cost effectiveness.
The engineer will work closely with production, mechanical engineering, quality, automation, and supplier teams to introduce and improve manufacturing processes.
The position will support new product introduction as well as continuous improvement of existing manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
Create process specifications, work instructions, process flows, and technical documentation.
Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, defects, and process inefficiencies.
Conduct process capability studies and implement appropriate improvements.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and production ramp-up activities.
Work with production teams to resolve process-related technical issues.
Identify opportunities for automation, tooling improvements, and manufacturing efficiency.
Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Conduct trials and validation of new processes, equipment, tooling, and materials.
Monitor process KPIs and recommend actions to improve productivity, quality, and cost.
