Head of Engineering

Job Description

The Head of Engineering will provide strategic and operational leadership across software engineering teams responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise technology products. The role will establish engineering direction, development standards, delivery practices, and technical priorities aligned with business objectives. The leader will manage engineering organizations, support product delivery, and promote a culture of innovation, quality, collaboration, and accountability. The position will work closely with executive leadership, product management, architecture, and other technology functions to drive sustainable engineering growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with company objectives.
Lead, mentor, and develop engineering managers and technical teams.
Establish engineering standards, development methodologies, and best practices.
Oversee software development, testing, deployment, and product delivery.
Ensure engineering teams deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and high-quality software.
Partner with product management to establish technical priorities and roadmaps.
Manage engineering resources, budgets, capacity, and delivery commitments.
Drive adoption of automation, DevOps, cloud, and modern engineering practices.
Establish and monitor engineering KPIs, quality metrics, and delivery performance.
Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Promote continuous improvement, innovation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
