Reservoir Engineer

Job Description

The Reservoir Engineer is responsible for analyzing reservoir performance and supporting the efficient recovery of hydrocarbons from oil and gas assets. The role uses reservoir data, production information, pressure measurements, and engineering models to evaluate reservoir behavior. The position contributes to field development planning, reserves evaluation, production optimization, and enhanced recovery studies. Close collaboration with geologists, production engineers, drilling engineers, and other technical teams is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze reservoir pressure, production, fluid, and performance data to evaluate reservoir behavior.
Develop and update reservoir simulation models for field development and production forecasting.
Perform material-balance, decline-curve, and reservoir performance analyses.
Support preparation and evaluation of field development and reservoir management plans.
Estimate hydrocarbon reserves and resources using appropriate engineering methodologies.
Evaluate well performance and identify opportunities for production improvement.
Conduct sensitivity studies and assess technical risks associated with reservoir development.
Provide reservoir engineering input for well placement, completion, and workover decisions.
Monitor reservoir pressure and fluid movement and recommend appropriate management strategies.
Evaluate water injection, gas injection, pressure maintenance, and enhanced oil recovery opportunities where applicable.
Work with geologists to integrate geological models with reservoir engineering assessments.
