Design Engineer – EV Calibration & Controls

Job Description

The role focuses on developing, calibrating, and validating control systems for electric vehicles and related vehicle functions. The engineer will work on control algorithms, vehicle performance, drivability, and system-level calibration activities. The position involves collaboration with software, electrical, testing, and vehicle engineering teams. The candidate will support development activities from prototype stages through validation and production readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and calibrate control strategies for EV systems and vehicle functions.
Perform calibration of powertrain and vehicle control parameters.
Analyze vehicle performance, drivability, and control-system behavior.
Conduct testing using simulation, test benches, and prototype vehicles.
Diagnose control-system issues using vehicle logs and engineering tools.
Work with software teams to implement and validate control algorithms.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams during vehicle development programs.
Prepare test plans, calibration reports, and technical documentation.
Support root-cause analysis and resolution of vehicle performance issues.
