Job Description

The Wind Energy Resource Assessment Engineer is responsible for evaluating wind resources and identifying suitable locations for renewable energy projects. The role involves analyzing meteorological data, performing energy yield assessments, and supporting project feasibility studies. The engineer collaborates with engineering, development, and environmental teams to optimize wind farm performance. This position contributes to the successful planning and development of utility-scale wind power projects.

 

Key Responsibilities
Collect, validate, and analyze wind measurement data from meteorological masts and LiDAR systems.
Perform wind resource assessments using industry-standard software.
Prepare annual energy production (AEP) estimates for proposed wind farms.
Conduct micrositing and turbine layout optimization studies.
Evaluate terrain, wake effects, and environmental constraints.
Support project feasibility studies and due diligence activities.
Collaborate with engineering teams during project design and execution.
Prepare technical reports, resource maps, and assessment documentation.
Monitor operational wind farm performance against predicted energy output.
Stay updated with renewable energy technologies and international industry standards.
