Geophysicist (Seismic Data Processor)

Job Description

PXP Energy Corporation is looking for a detail-oriented Geophysicist (Seismic Data Processor) to process, analyze, and interpret seismic data that supports oil and gas exploration activities. The role focuses on enhancing subsurface imaging accuracy to help identify hydrocarbon prospects and reduce exploration risks. The successful candidate will collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and exploration teams while utilizing advanced geophysical software and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities
Process 2D and 3D seismic datasets using industry-standard software.
Perform quality control checks on seismic acquisition and processing data.
Apply advanced processing techniques to improve subsurface imaging.
Interpret processed seismic data to identify geological structures.
Collaborate with exploration geologists and reservoir engineers on exploration projects.
Maintain seismic databases and ensure accurate documentation of processing workflows.
Evaluate processing methodologies and recommend technical improvements.
Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and exploration teams.
