Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Shell Kuwait is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical systems across oil and gas operations. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety standards. The engineer will work closely with maintenance, operations, and project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. This position requires strong technical expertise in rotating and static equipment used in energy facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Design, evaluate, and improve mechanical equipment and systems.
Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
Monitor equipment performance and reliability metrics.
Perform root cause analysis for mechanical failures.
Support installation, commissioning, and testing of equipment.
Ensure compliance with Shell engineering and safety standards.
Collaborate with project teams on facility upgrades and modifications.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and maintenance documentation.
Review vendor proposals and technical drawings.
