Position Overview: As a Backend Developer at Vogco Ltd, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic and database architecture for our web applications. You will collaborate closely with our frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality backend solutions that meet our business objectives and ensure optimal performance and reliability. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a strong foundation in backend development technologies and a passion for building scalable and efficient systems.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs using backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, or Java.
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Design and implement data models, database schemas, and data storage solutions (e.g., SQL databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL, NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Redis).
Optimize backend code for maximum performance, scalability, and security.
Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, data validation, and error handling logic.
Write automated tests to ensure the reliability and stability of backend systems.
Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
Stay updated on emerging backend technologies and best practices, and proactively share knowledge with the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
years of professional experience as a backend developer or similar role.
Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages/frameworks, such as Node.js, Python/Django, Ruby on Rails, Java/Spring, etc.
Experience with database technologies, including relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
Familiarity with RESTful API design principles and best practices.
Strong understanding of web application security principles and best practices.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
