We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Procurement Officer – Engineer (Team Leader) to lead our procurement function for high-end interior design and fit-out projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in engineering and proven leadership skills in procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the procurement team in sourcing materials and subcontractors for all interior fit-out and joinery projects
- Review technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications to ensure accurate procurement planning
- Coordinate closely with design, commercial, and site teams to align procurement timelines with project delivery schedules
- Prepare and manage RFQs, quotation comparisons, negotiations, and final supplier selection
- Maintain and improve the approved vendor list, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery standards are met
- Oversee contract terms, payment schedules, and performance tracking of suppliers and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with project budgets and company procurement policies
- Report to senior management on procurement status, risks, and opportunities
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Architecture, or related)
Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement for interior fit-out and joinery projects, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role
Strong knowledge of local and international suppliers for fit-out materials, finishes, and FF&E
Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement packages simultaneously
UAE experience is a must
