Procurement Sr. Specialist
Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for operating and executing Tendering activities, in order to ensure and deliver on the Department’s mandate and that will contribute to the delivery of short and mid-term strategic objectives within set KPIs, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for
- Review purchase requisition against approvals and defined procurement approach
- Work on RFQ/ RFP templates and guidelines and prepare RFQs/ RFPs in coordination with relevant departments to attract offers and proposals from vendors
- Issue tender documents and follow up on responses
- Analyze and compare vendor bids and negotiate deals, if needed, on behalf of STA
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with potential suppliers/vendors to partner with
- Check quality of purchased products/ services and ensure alignment with requirements
- Organize tasks and implement policies, processes, procedures, forms and tools
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account leading practices
- Escalate problems to ensure case/issue is closed efficiently and in a timely manner
- Support peers across the organization when needed to perform their duties
- Perform Any Other Activities As And When Required
You will need
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or Business administration or equivalent is required
- At least 1 of relevant experience
