Information Technology Administrator
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize company networks and servers to ensure reliable operation and minimal downtime
- Install, upgrade, and configure hardware and software to meet organizational needs
- Implement, enforce, and regularly update robust security protocols to protect against cyber threats and data breaches
- Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with company security policies
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, including onboarding and offboarding employees to safeguard data
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues for staff, providing technical support and guidance
- Perform regular data backups, develop and test data recovery procedures, and ensure data integrity
- Configure, monitor, and secure cloud networks, including virtual networks, firewalls, and network access controls
- Document IT processes, maintain accurate records, and generate usage statistics and reports
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for IT systems, tools, and policies
- Supervise and mentor IT team members, manage ticket queues, and determine departmental priorities
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and cybersecurity trends to enhance system efficiency
Key Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Information Systems, or related field
- Professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco,) preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT administration or similar roles
- Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, networks, and security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
