About the job
The IT Auditor will be responsible for performing audits of the organization’s IT infrastructure, security protocols, and business systems. This includes assessing system vulnerabilities, recommending improvements, and ensuring compliance with UAE-specific regulations. The IT Auditor will work closely with various departments to promote best practices in IT governance, risk management, and compliance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- IT Audit Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute audit programs based on risk assessment; Conduct audits on IT systems, applications, and networks; Identify weaknesses and recommend improvements.
- Timeliness and accuracy of audit reports; Compliance with audit plan; Effectiveness of recommendations.
- Evaluate IT-related risks; Perform risk assessments on key IT processes and systems; Collaborate with departments to mitigate identified risks.
- Number of risk assessments conducted; Risk reduction outcomes; Alignment with risk management policies.
- Ensure IT activities comply with UAE regulations (e.g., NESA, GDPR as applicable); Stay updated on UAE IT compliance laws.
- Compliance audit success rate: Number of compliance issues resolved; Consistency with local regulations.
- Prepare audit findings reports; Present recommendations to management; Collaborate with IT teams to implement corrective actions.
- Clarity and comprehensiveness of reports; Quality of communication with stakeholders; Feedback from management.
- Propose and implement improvements in IT audit processes; Research best practices in IT audit and cybersecurity; Participate in training sessions.
- Number of process improvements implemented; Participation in professional development; Demonstration of knowledge growth.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Proficient in IT auditing tools and techniques.
- Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL).
- Experience with cybersecurity, information security, and risk management.
- Familiarity with UAE regulatory standards for IT compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in IT auditing, preferably in the UAE.
