Job Description
Hilton Toronto is seeking a talented Human Resources Coordinator to support our Human Resource team! The Human resources Coordinator will support our Hotel & Hilton team members. This individual will coordinate and implement departmental activities spearheading employee engagement & support to all team member people needs.
What will I be doing?
As a Human Resources Coordinator, you are responsible for Human Resources people services related activities. Specifically, a Human Resources Coordinator will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Greet & assist team members when entering the department
- Follow-up with department managers on a variety of activities and initiatives
- Sit at Employer co-chair of the JHSC, oversee & implement changes for unsafe work environments
- Chair the Hilton Blue Energy Committee
- Advise in employee relations and inquiries related to human resources legislation and the union collective agreement
- Responsible for the accurate completion of all new team member documentation, onboarding and acknowledgement of Hilton Worldwide global policies
- Provide administrative support for brand training programs and participate in the delivery of training programs as assigned
- Relay team member related announcements, through managing the Team Member EEB & posters
- Oversee the daily activities of the Human Resources internship/coop student
- Benefit Plan Administrator, maintaining and tracking benefit eligibility, enrollment, ongoing changes, and terminations
- Lead & facilitate employee recognition programs and activities
- Coordinate team member activities such as Annual Holiday Gala, Team Member Appreciation Week etc.
- Support, maintain & spearhead wellness & diversity initiatives with alignment to Thrive at Hilton
- Maintain detailed filing system and HRIS system
- The completion of other duties as assigned by management
- Coordinate projects and activities and projects, as assigned
What are we looking for?
A Human Resources Coordinator serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fulfil this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- A bachelor’s degree or postgraduate certificate in Human resources Management
- Completion of all Human Resources courses required for CHRP designation is a must
- Working towards the designation of CHRP
- Strong customer service skill
- Previous experience in hospitality would be an asset
- Strong administration and communication skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail, while multi-tasking and delivering work on time
- Ability to work productively despite multiple interruptions
- Demonstrated trust and confidentiality as a member of the Human Resources Team
- A passion and enthusiasm to be part of a winning team
- Proficiency, at an intermediate level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft programs
- Excellent grooming standards
