Duties and Responsibilities: • Preventive maintenance and complete overhauling of compressor used for instrument air, utility air, and to produce nitrogen. • Replacing piston rings, guide rings, rod packing and adjustment of TDC and BDC. • Replacing main bearings and big end bearings. • Refurbishment of suction and discharge valves & Renew of cylinder liner • Worked on the unloaded device of compressor. • Trouble shooting such as long interval between load and unload. Low lube oil • Pressure, PSV releasing, belts breakings, cooling water pump fault, inter cooler and after cooler leakage • Refurbished all type of single double, tandem and cartridge seals, having single, multi- spring and bellows. • Renewed packing seal faces and maintained operating length lapping seal faces to the required finish. • General maintenance overhauling tooth conduct checking gears replacement, backlash measurement and correction of gear box.
