JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Page 3 of 3  Install, maintain, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures in oil and gas processing plants, pipelines, and facilities.  Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine piping requirements.  Cut, thread, and assemble pipes using various tools and techniques.  Conduct hydrostatic testing and pressure testing to ensure pipe system integrity.  Troubleshoot and resolve piping issues, including leaks, blockages, and corrosion.  Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as welders, plumbers, and instrument technicians.  Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and securing of pipes in accordance with industry standards.  Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and standards.  Participate in shutdowns and turnarounds, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal productivity.  Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and inspection reports.  Assist in the fabrication and installation of pipe supports and hangers.  Install and test valves, gauges, and other piping components.  Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating pipes, and replacing worn-out components.  Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimize plant performance and reduce energy consumption.  Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.  Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and emergency response drills.  Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and environmental policies.  Mentor and train junior pipe fitters and maintenance personnel
