CCTV & Access Control Technician

Job Description

The CCTV & Access Control Technician is responsible for installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of electronic security systems.
The role focuses primarily on CCTV surveillance, access control equipment, readers, controllers, cameras, and associated networking infrastructure.
The technician works on construction and commercial projects to ensure security systems are installed according to approved designs and project specifications.
The position also provides technical troubleshooting and commissioning support before final client handover.

Key Responsibilities
Install CCTV cameras, recording equipment, monitors, and associated hardware.
Install and configure access control readers, controllers, locks, and related devices.
Terminate and test ELV cables used for CCTV and access control systems.
Configure cameras, recording parameters, user permissions, and system settings.
Perform testing and commissioning of CCTV and access control systems.
Troubleshoot camera, network, power, reader, controller, and software issues.
Conduct point-to-point testing and verify device communication.
Coordinate with engineers and site supervisors during system installation.
Maintain accurate records of equipment, testing results, and system configurations.
Assist with system demonstrations and client acceptance testing.
Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs when required.
