Software Release & Deployment Associate

Job Description

The Software Release & Deployment Associate supports the controlled delivery of software applications across development, testing, staging, and production environments. The role coordinates release activities, deployment schedules, documentation, and implementation procedures. The associate works closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and application support teams to ensure successful deployments. The position also helps identify deployment risks, troubleshoot release issues, and maintain reliable release processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate software releases across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
Prepare and maintain release plans, deployment schedules, and implementation documentation.
Execute application deployments according to approved procedures.
Verify deployment packages, configuration files, dependencies, and release prerequisites.
Coordinate with developers and QA teams before and after production releases.
Monitor deployments and conduct post-release validation and smoke testing.
Investigate deployment failures and coordinate corrective actions.
Maintain version-control, release, and deployment records.
Support rollback procedures when deployments introduce production issues.
Identify opportunities to improve automation, deployment consistency, and release efficiency.
