Job Description

The Automotive Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing vehicles to manufacturer and company standards.
The role involves carrying out preventive maintenance, mechanical repairs, and vehicle diagnostics using appropriate workshop equipment.
The technician works closely with service advisors and workshop colleagues to ensure vehicles are completed safely and on schedule.
Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction are essential.

 

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults.
Perform scheduled vehicle servicing and preventive maintenance.
Carry out engine, transmission, braking, suspension, and steering repairs.
Use diagnostic equipment to identify technical problems accurately.
Inspect completed repairs to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Follow manufacturer repair procedures and technical specifications.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and replaced components.
Keep workshop tools and equipment clean, safe, and properly maintained.
Coordinate with service advisors regarding vehicle repair requirements.
Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
