Software Engineer

Job Description

The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications supporting Visma’s cloud-based business solutions.
The role may focus on backend services, APIs, databases, or full-stack application development.
The engineer will work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, and other development teams.
The position requires strong programming skills, software engineering practices, and an interest in building reliable, secure, and user-friendly products.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable backend services and full-stack applications.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and service integrations.
Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
Design and optimize database structures and queries.
Develop responsive user interfaces when working in a full-stack capacity.
Troubleshoot software defects and resolve production issues.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.
Write automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Contribute to application security, performance, scalability, and reliability improvements.
Participate in Agile development ceremonies and sprint planning.
