QA / Test Engineer

Job Description

The QA / Test Engineer will be responsible for validating software applications and ensuring that products meet functional, technical, performance, and quality requirements. The role involves designing test strategies, executing test cases, identifying defects, and working with development teams to resolve issues. The engineer will contribute to both manual and automated testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential for maintaining product reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and acceptance testing.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve reported issues.
Create and maintain automated test scripts where applicable.
Validate software against functional and technical specifications.
Perform API, database, and application-level testing.
Support performance and reliability testing activities.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and software release processes.
Prepare test reports and communicate quality status to project stakeholders.
