IT Business Analyst

Job Description

The IT Business Analyst acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure that technology solutions meet business needs. The role analyses processes, gathers requirements, identifies improvement opportunities, and translates business needs into clear functional and technical requirements. The analyst supports projects from initial discovery through implementation and testing. The position requires strong analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather, analyse, document, and validate business and system requirements.
Work with stakeholders to understand business processes, objectives, and challenges.
Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
Create process maps, user stories, use cases, and requirements documentation.
Identify process inefficiencies and recommend technology-enabled improvements.
Collaborate with developers, architects, testers, product managers, and project managers.
Support solution design discussions and evaluate potential technology approaches.
Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution.
Track requirements, changes, dependencies, and stakeholder approvals.
Communicate project requirements and progress effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
