Job Description

The Cybersecurity Analyst helps protect voestalpine’s information systems, applications, networks, and data against cyber threats. The role monitors security events, investigates potential incidents, and supports the implementation of appropriate security controls. The analyst works with IT and business teams to identify vulnerabilities and reduce security risks. The position also contributes to security awareness, incident response, compliance, and continuous improvement of the organization’s cybersecurity posture.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor security alerts, logs, and events for suspicious or malicious activity.
Investigate cybersecurity incidents and support incident-response activities.
Identify, assess, and track vulnerabilities across systems and applications.
Support security monitoring, detection, and threat-analysis activities.
Assist with implementation and maintenance of security controls and policies.
Analyze security risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Support vulnerability scanning, security assessments, and remediation activities.
Maintain cybersecurity documentation, incident records, and reports.
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, cloud, and IT support teams on security issues.
Promote security awareness and help improve organizational cybersecurity practices.
