QA / Test Automation Engineer

Job Description

The QA / Test Automation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automated testing solutions for enterprise software and cloud-based platforms. The role will ensure that applications meet functional, performance, reliability, security, and quality requirements before release. The engineer will work closely with developers, product managers, architects, and QA teams to identify defects early and improve overall product quality. The position will also contribute to continuous testing and automation within CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts.
Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Automate API, UI, database, and service-level testing where appropriate.
Execute automated and manual tests across different environments.
Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve quality issues.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Analyze test results and prepare quality reports.
Perform compatibility and cross-platform testing.
Improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and testing processes.
Participate in release validation and quality sign-off activities.
