Electronic Service Technician
Job Description
The Electronic Service Technician is responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic equipment and systems.
The role involves diagnosing hardware and electrical faults and ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably.
The technician works with engineering and project teams to resolve technical issues at customer or project sites.
The position also requires accurate service documentation, preventive maintenance, and adherence to safety and quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, test, and commission electronic equipment and systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic, electrical, and control-system faults.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on installed equipment.
Inspect circuit boards, wiring, connectors, sensors, power supplies, and related components.
Use testing and diagnostic instruments to identify equipment failures.
Repair or replace defective electronic components and assemblies where required.
Conduct functional and performance testing after repairs or installations.
Attend customer sites to investigate service calls and resolve technical problems.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and service reports.
Coordinate with engineers and project teams on complex technical issues.
Follow electrical, electronic, workplace safety, and quality-control procedures.
Provide basic technical guidance to customers and operators on equipment usage and maintenance.
