Cyber Security Specialist

Job Description

Cyber Security Specialists protect QatarEnergy’s information systems, operational technology (OT), and digital infrastructure from cyber threats. They implement security controls, monitor networks, and respond to cybersecurity incidents. The role supports the organization’s digital transformation initiatives while maintaining compliance with cybersecurity standards. Specialists work with IT, operational teams, and external vendors to strengthen the company’s security posture.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor security systems and investigate cyber threats.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing reviews.
Implement cybersecurity policies and security controls.
Manage incident response and security event investigations.
Monitor network traffic and security logs for suspicious activity.
Support security awareness and employee training programs.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and regulations.
Coordinate with IT teams on infrastructure security improvements.
Prepare cybersecurity risk assessment reports.
Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
