Sr. Procurement Engineer (Fitout)
Job Description
Strategic Sourcing:
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with project requirements and organizational goals.
- Identify potential suppliers, conduct market research, and evaluate their capabilities to ensure the selection of reliable partners.
Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure favorable agreements in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
Cost Estimation:
- Collaborate with project teams to understand design and fit-out requirements and provide accurate cost estimations for procurement activities.
- Analyze and evaluate cost proposals, making recommendations to optimize project budgets.
Procurement Process:
- Develop with the Manager and implement procurement policies and procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Lead the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain high-quality standards for procured materials and services.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks in the procurement process and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Stay informed about market trends, price fluctuations, and potential supply chain disruptions.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and vendor performance evaluations.
- Generate regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and savings for management review.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination of procurement activities with project timelines.
MISCELANEOUS:
- Attends internal projects weekly progress meetings and trainings when required.
- Contributes client satisfaction by attending requests and enquiries courteously and efficiently.
- Accepts flexible work schedules when necessary to provide uninterrupted service clients and stakeholders.
- Maintains working environment, materials and company property in an organized, clean and orderly manner.
- Continuously seeks to improve efficient operations and knowledge.
- Is well updated and possesses solid knowledge on all relevant policies and procedures related to the operations and management quality policy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering a related engineering field is a must.
- Extensive experience in fit-out industry.
- Supply Chain management, and product management
- Able to manage the full project procurement activities of project.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a critical eye for accuracy.
- Leadership skills and the ability to guide and mentor junior team members.
