Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all aircraft are maintained in accordance with aviation regulations, manufacturer standards, and company procedures. The role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and certifying aircraft for safe operation. The engineer works closely with maintenance teams, flight crews, and regulatory authorities to maintain high levels of safety and reliability. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and compliance with aviation quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and preventive aircraft maintenance according to approved maintenance programs.
Diagnose and repair aircraft mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems.
Conduct inspections before and after flights to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
Complete maintenance documentation accurately and maintain technical records.
Troubleshoot aircraft defects and implement corrective actions efficiently.
Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and operations teams during maintenance activities.
Certify maintenance tasks and release aircraft for service after inspections.
Monitor spare parts usage and report material requirements.
Participate in safety audits, technical training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
