Implementation Engineer (HIS/LIMS)

Job Description

The Implementation Engineer (HIS/LIMS) is responsible for deploying and configuring Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) at customer locations. The role involves understanding healthcare workflows, coordinating with hospital stakeholders, and ensuring successful software implementation. The engineer provides technical guidance during installation, testing, and go-live activities while ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations. This position requires strong technical, analytical, and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities
Implement and configure HIS/LIMS software based on customer requirements.
Coordinate with hospital administrators, clinicians, and laboratory teams during implementation.
Conduct software installation, configuration, and system integration activities.
Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve implementation issues.
Provide end-user training and prepare implementation documentation.
Monitor project milestones and ensure timely delivery of implementation tasks.
Troubleshoot application and configuration-related issues during deployment.
Support go-live activities and provide post-implementation assistance.
Collaborate with development and support teams for product enhancements.
Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, data privacy, and security policies.
